So Barry and I decided to give up the booze for 30 days and as you would suspect we needed to come up with a plan to fill the void it left in our hearts and our liver's. We started a compost pile about a month ago and it snowballed from there. So here is our guide to cheaper, healthier living that even the laziest of hippies could pull off. We have no idea what we are doing, so feel free to follow along and laugh at our mistakes and celebrate our triumphs.
Exciting stuff. We all just need to live on one piece of land and be as self sustaining as possible. Oh and hey, maybe I'll guest blog sometime!
ReplyDeleteGrab some chicks from Tractor Supply. They are on sale this week for $2/each. They are natural composters, and they will eventually give you eggs. You can biuld them a chicken coup out of recycled packing crates.
ReplyDeleteGood Job Ryan now Angela wants chickens. haha it is not a bad idea though ill have to do some research on it. I mean it would definitely be a great step in our goal of self sustaining however I'll need to make sure we have the space and it won't be an annoyance to our neighbors. We also already have a 5lb bag of chicken scat. Also what about winter time? WE NEED TO BUY A HOUSE!!!!!
